Summary:Greenville House is a semi-independent living program for 5
youth 16-21 who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. The
Manager along with residential administration promote a welcoming
and healing environment for youth who identify as LGBTQ+ and who
have experienced trauma and may be dealing with complex issues such
as family and peer rejection, community violence, abuse and
neglect, abandonment, and mental health struggles. This position
works collaboratively with Assistant Manager and management team to
ensure safety, stability, and professional guidance to staff and to
residents in our care that have been placed through the Department
of Children, Youth and Families. This position requires the
individual to promote leadership skills to properly supervise TST
Milieu Counselors in the residential treatment setting. The
Residential Manager will have a positive demeanor, integrity,
empathy, nonjudgmental attitude and is culturally sensitive to the
program's needs. Monitor residential program with maintaining
Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) in the milieu setting. Supervise
program staff, program budget, staff scheduling, program purchases,
strategic planning, and assure the safety, nurturance, and care of
the residents. Ensure compliance of all required trainings for all
program staff in accordance with agency/state regulations. Will
provide direct care to residents and develop and facilitate daily
groups and activities for youth in the program. The Residential
Manager is part of the youth's treatment team and will work
alongside milieu counselors and clinical staff to ensure the
delivery of youth's individual treatment plans, while promoting a
sense of community and normalcy for residents.Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in human services required.
- Minimum of two (2) year supervisory experience.
- Willingness and capability to work flexible hours including
evenings and weekends as scheduled and on-call
responsibilities.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial and
socioeconomic issues.
- Capabilities to implement appropriate child management
techniques, which may include use of passive physical
restraint.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Requires current driver's license, reliable transportation with
a minimum of 3 seats in addition to the driver's seat and proof of
automobile insurance.
- Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above
base pay.Physical Requirements:
- Travel to and from community locations and residential site
locations, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or
elevators.
- Ability to utilize a computer and Electronic Medical Record to
complete documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to push or pull 10 lbs or more.
- Ability to pick up 10 lbs or more.
- Ability to be trained in and implement de-escalation techniques
utilizing Handle with Care when necessary.Don't meet every single
